India's legendary batter Rohit Sharma is currently out of cricketing action and is enjoying the break with his family and friends. He was recently seen in action during the Australia tour and had a memorable ODI series. India lost the series 1-2, but Rohit was the top run-getter with 203 runs under his belt.

On Thursday, the former Indian captain Rohit shared a hilarious clip of a prank he successfully pulled off on one of his former India and Mumbai teammates, Dhawal Kulkarni.

In the amusing video he posted on Instagram, Rohit stunned Kulkarni with a trick pen that gives a minor electric shock. Interestingly, he managed to dodge the prank himself. At the beginning of the video, one of Rohit’s friends requested him for an autograph and gave him a pen. Rohit declines and warns his friend in jest to watch out for what he does.

"Ro, can you give me an autograph?" the friend asks, to which Rohit inspects the pen and instantly recognises the prank. "This is not a pen," he said. "Do you know what’s wrong with this? I’ll tell you now. I’ll use this on someone. Someone who is very, very special."

Before beginning to play his prank on Kulkarni, Rohit gave the pen with the electric shock to another one of his friends and burst out laughing. "What happened?" Rohit asked, to which his friend responded, "Hey, that’s what’s in it – shock."

Then came Kulkarni’s turn. The legendary batter asked someone to give the pen to Kulkarni and waited for the reaction. As he checked the pen, Kulkarni received an electric shock and moved awkwardly. Rohit then muttered something as Kulkarni clicked the pen again and received another shock.

Amid the heavy speculations regarding Rohit's ODI future after his Test and ODI retirements, Rohit will unlikely play the India A series against South Africa. His next appearance is expected to be in the three-match ODI series against South Africa, starting November 30.

"It's still a very young team that we have. A lot of guys who haven't been to Australia. When I came for the first time to this squad, I remember how the seniors around me were there to help us. And it's our job now to make sure that we pass on the right message. Never easy travelling abroad and playing cricket. So, whatever little experience we got, it's important to pass on that and make sure they handle it pretty well. The guys are pretty talented. It's just about understanding how they want to play. When you come to places like this, you need some game plan in your mind before you start," Rohit said after being adjudged as the Player of the Match and the series following his match-winning century in Sydney.
