WPL 2026 Points Table: Gujarat Giants defeated the Delhi Capitals by 4 runs in match 4 of the ongoing Women's Premier League 2026 at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, January 11. This was Gujarat's second win of the season as they held their nerves to come out on top in the high-scoring contest.

With wins in both of their matches and four points under their belt, the Gujarat Giants stand at the top of the WPL 2026 points table. On the other hand, this was the second successive defeat for the Delhi Capitals. They had lost their opening match against the Mumbai Indians. After being put into bat first, the Giants posted a massive total of 209 in their 20 overs against Delhi.

Sophie Devine continued her promising form and played a memorable knock of 95 runs in just 42 balls on the back of seven fours and eight sixes, whereas skipper Ash Gardner produced an impactful effort of 49 runs, hitting four boundaries and three sixes. Chasing the target, DC did everything right with the help of the half-centuries from Lizelle Lee (86) and Laura Wolvaardt (77). The duo stitched a magnificent partnership of 90 runs for the second wicket.

They lost a few wickets in quick succession towards the death overs. The Jemimah Rodrigues-led side needed seven runs in the final over to win, but they managed to score just as the skipper also lost her wicket for 15 runs. GG's Sophie Devine gave away just two runs, taking a couple of wickets as well, to restrict DC to 205/5 in their 20 overs. DC, who are now placed last in the standings, will face the UP Warriorz in their next match on Wednesday.
