A young man, identified as Mohammad Lukman, was stabbed to death at his scrap warehouse in the Gokalpuri area of North East Delhi on Thursday evening. Police are investigating the murder as a possible revenge killing stemming from a recent altercation.
According to his family, Lukman was alone at his warehouse in the Bhagirathi Vihar area when two assailants arrived and attacked him with a knife. He sustained more than ten stab wounds to his stomach, hand, and back. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the assault.
Shortly after, Lukman’s brother discovered him lying in a pool of blood and rushed him to GTB Hospital. However, doctors there pronounced him dead on arrival.
The family, who are residents of the Mustafabad area, told police they suspect the murder is in retaliation for a fight that occurred a few days ago, in which Lukman was also involved alongside a friend.
