A 20-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed to death late Monday night in the Sultanpuri police station area. The police have detained two minors for questioning based on a statement provided by the victim's family.

Circumstances Of The Crime

The Context: A small function had been organised at the victim’s home in Sultanpuri AB Block on Monday.

The Incident: Late at night, the victim, identified as Sumit, left his house to deliver food to friends who had been unable to attend the function.

Discovery: When Sumit did not return, his family initiated a search. His body was eventually discovered lying in a pool of blood near Namokar Hospital in AB Block.

Police Investigation And Action

Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and took custody of the body, which has been moved to the hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

Forensics: Forensic and crime teams have inspected the scene and collected several pieces of evidence.

Suspects: Acting on the family's statement, the police have detained two minors. Their questioning is currently ongoing. 

Motive: Preliminary investigations suggest the murder was the result of personal enmity, though police are probing other angles as well.

Legal Status: A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the law.

Victim Profile

Sumit lived with his parents in Sultanpuri AB Block. He had passed his 10th standard examinations and was currently looking for a job.
