Two young men lost their lives and a third was seriously injured in a tragic road accident near the MCD toll on the Narela-Singhu Border road. The incident occurred around 8:30 pm last night when an unknown vehicle allegedly hit the motorcycle they were riding and fled the scene.

Sequence Of Events

The victims were discovered by Sanjay, a driver of a passing CAT ambulance, who was heading towards the Singhu Border. He found the three men lying injured by the roadside near a motorcycle and immediately rushed them to Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital in Narela.

21-year-old Ankit was found to have severe head and face injuries and was declared dead on arrival by doctors.

21-year-old Jatin and 19-year-old Abhishek were referred to a hospital in Sector-17, Rohini for advanced treatment. Tragically, Jatin succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Abhishek remains in the hospital where his condition is reported to be serious.

Profile Of The Victims

Ankit (Deceased): A resident of Kasimpur Khedi village in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. He worked a private job in Kundli, Sonipat.

Jatin (Deceased): A resident of Rajiv Colony, Narela. He worked as a driver for a private school van.

Abhishek (Injured): A resident of Rajiv Colony, Narela. He works as a bus driver for a private school in Narela.

Police Investigation

The police were notified of the accident by the hospital authorities. A police officer confirmed that the motorcycle used by the victims was recovered from the accident spot.

Considering the circumstances, a case regarding the fatal accident has been registered via a Daily Diary (DD) entry. The police have stated that the investigation has been transferred to the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) cell to ensure a swift and professional inquiry into the matter.
