Delhi Shocker: A 17-year-old student was beaten to death following a brawl between teenagers in Delhi’s Trilokpuri area, police said. A murder case has been registered in connection with the incident, and all six accused have been detained. The victim has been identified as Mohit, a class 11 student. He was a resident of Indra Camp in Trilokpuri.

A call was received from Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) Hospital at around 7.25 pm on January 5 about an unconscious male who had been physically assaulted, said police officer Abhishek Dhania, as per an NDTV report.

Mohit was shifted to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital after initial examination at LBS Hospital. The police could not gather information from the boy as doctors declared him unfit to give a statement due to the severity of his injuries. GTB Hospital informed the police after the boy died at 1.15 am on January 6.

Police officials said the violence was triggered by an earlier disagreement between Mohit and another teenager from the neighbourhood. On the day of the incident, Mohit was with his friends in Trilokpuri when a confrontation erupted between two groups of minors, which soon spiralled into a physical fight.
