Delhi Nursery Admission 2024-25: The registration period for general category students in private schools for nursery, KG, and Class 1 will end on Friday, December 15, 2023. The first list will be released on January 12, the second list on January 29, the third list on February 21, and the admission process will conclude on March 8, 2024.
A 10-day period (from January 13 to January 22) has been set aside for schools to respond to parents' questions about the points allocated to their wards based on the school's criterion. Schools must have a well-documented procedure in place to reply to parents' inquiries, either via email or letters, and save records in a register.
Delhi Nursery Admission 2024-25: Documents Required
Some examples of documentation that can be used as verification of parental/child residence include:
- Ration Card/ Smart Card in the name of parents (Mother/Father having name of child).
- Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
- Voter I-card (EPIC) of any of the parents.
- Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill/Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.
- Aadhaar Card/UID card issued in the name of any of the parents.
Delhi Nursery Admission 2024-25: How to take the admission?
- According to the official statement, the drawing of lots (whether computerized or by slips) shall take place transparently in the sight of parents.
- The school will notify eligible parents/guardians of pupils in the draw of lots at least two days before the day of the draw via the official website, noticeboard, and e-mail.
- The lotteries will be videotaped, and the footage will be maintained/retained by the school. The slips will be shown to the parents before being placed in the box for the draw of lots.
Delhi Nursery Admission 2024-25: Application fees
Purchasing a school prospectus together with an application form is not required for parents, and schools may not compel parents to purchase a prospectus or charge a processing fee. However, parents might be charged only Rs. 25 as an admission registration cost.
