Aamir Khan Refused To Attend An Underworld Party In The 90s: Film producer Mahaveer Jain, recognised for supporting projects such as Ram Setu and Good Luck Jerry, recently heaped praises on Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. During an interview, Jain recollected an incident from the 1990s when Aamir displayed immense courage by refusing to attend a party organised by the underworld.

Talking about the incident, Mahaveer told Bollywood Hungama, "In the '90s, the underworld was ruling the film industry. All film stars had to accept the invitations and visit the Middle East for their parties. But Aamir bhai put his life at stake. He never agreed to it. He is a man of principles."

Aamir Khan's commitment to his principles was evident during his time hosting the TV show Satyamev Jayate. The actor stood firm in his beliefs by refusing to endorse certain brands during the show.

According to the film producer, Aamir chose not to advertise for 4-5 brands that he had previously endorsed for a period of almost three years. "This is because he felt that Satyamev Jayate is a serious show and an ad featuring him, coming in between the show, would reduce its seriousness. So he decided to let go of all endorsements," he said.

According to Jain, Aamir is a person who consciously distances himself from the pursuit of "name, fame, money, and power." He is not driven by the competitive rat race that often consumes people in the industry.

"Aamir Khan is one of the finest human beings, but is highly misunderstood. He's probably one of the most misunderstood celebrities in our country. Sometimes, social media perception and reality can be two different things. Anyone who knows Aamir bhai personally would say the same thing," the producer added.

In terms of his professional commitments, Aamir Khan's most recent appearance was in the movie Laal Singh Chaddha opposite Kareena Kapoor. However, the actor has not disclosed any details about his upcoming project yet.

During a recent event, Aamir mentioned that he will only undertake a new film when he feels emotionally prepared for it. He expressed his current focus on spending quality time with his family and assured that when the time is right, he will undoubtedly embark on a new cinematic venture.
