Abhishek Bachchan recently appeared on Prime Video original movie Be Happy. The movie released on the OTT giant on March 14 and has been getting wide responses from both the audience and the critics. The star is quite busy promoting his film. In one of the interviews, the actor recently shared that he does not want to do sexually explicit content onscreen. He also explained the reason behind taking this decision and stated that he would love to make films that he can watch with his daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
In a conversation with The Quint, Abhishek Bachchan said “One thing I’m never going to do is evaluate my films. The minute you start evaluating an emotion, you are done. You hear the story, did it touch you? Yeah? Go for it. It has to be an emotional response.” He also shared about one thing that is non-negotiable for him. Abhishek added, “Maybe something that’s very sexually explicit. I’m very uncomfortable with that. I don’t like showing all of that on screen. I’m still one of those…even if I’m watching a show alone and something very sexually explicit comes up, I forward it.”
While explaining the reason for not doing sexually explicit content, Abhishek added “I have always said, since I became a girl dad, I’d love to make films that I can watch with my daughter. I’m not saying it for principle, I don’t know how she (Aaradhya) would possibly feel to say ‘what’s he doing?’ I’d like to consider that.”
Coming back to his last project, Be Happy is about a father and daughter duo, who aspire to participate in the biggest dance show in the country. The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, Johny Lever, Nora Fatehi, Harleen Sethi, Nassar and Inayat Verma in key roles. It has been directed by Remo D'Souza.
