'Adipurush' Box Office Collection Day 15: Prabhas' recent release, 'Adipurush', has faced a disappointing response from the audience, predominantly receiving negative reviews. This unfavourable reception is now evident in its box office performance. After completing two weeks in theatres, 'Adipurush' is approaching the conclusion of its theatrical run. The film is now facing difficulties in reaching the Rs 300 crore nett milestone at the domestic box office.

The 3D film made its theatrical debut on June 16, boasting a massive budget of Rs 700 crore. The movie was released in multiple languages and helmed by director Om Raut. After completing a two-week run in theatres, 'Adipurush' is still a considerable distance away from reaching the Rs 300 crore milestone in India. As of June 30, the film has accumulated a total of Rs 282.33 crore in earnings. On Friday, the movie made less than Rs 1 crore and its occupancy rate was recorded at 22.44 per cent. On Thursday too the movie barely made Rs 90 lakh domestically.

About Adipurush:

'Adipurush', a mythological movie, is the cinematic adaptation of Valmiki's 'Ramayana'. The 3D film, also written by Om Raut, has faced widespread criticism throughout the nation. People have expressed their dissatisfaction with the movie, pointing out shortcomings such as the usage of "tapori" dialogues, subpar visual effects (VFX), and an unengaging screenplay. The film stars Prabhas in the role of Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh.

Sunny Singh portrayed the character of Lakshman, while Devdatta Nage took on the role of Lord Hanuman in the film. Karthik Palani served as the cinematographer, and the editing was handled by Apurva Motiwale Sahai and Ashish Mhatre.

After the release of its first teaser, when 'Adipurush' received severe backlash, Om Raut soon took the feedback into account and decided to delay the film by six months, assuring that the final product would be of high quality.

Unfortunately, all of his promises have fallen short, as the film is now regarded as mediocre at best. Due to controversy surrounding the portrayal of mythology and its representation in the film, there is a growing demand for the film to be banned by certain groups.
