Adipurush Box Office Collection Day 14: 'Adipurush,' the controversial film featuring Prabhas, has been met with unfavourable reviews from both critics and audiences. Since 'Baahubali,' the actor has yet to achieve a significant success. After completing two weeks in theatres, 'Adipurush' is approaching the conclusion of its theatrical run. Within this timeframe, the film managed to surpass the Rs 450 crore milestone worldwide. However, it is facing challenges in achieving the Rs 300 crore nett mark at the domestic box office.

'Adipurush,' a 3D movie, made its theatrical debut on June 16. The film was produced with an enormous budget of Rs 500 crore and released in multiple languages. Directed by Om Raut, the mythological epic, 'Adipurush,' successfully completed its two-week run in theatres.

However, the film falls short of reaching the Rs 300 crore milestone in India by Rs 20 crore. At this stage, achieving such a target seems highly unlikely for the film. On June 29, 'Adipurush's earnings in India were less than Rs 1 crore, with early estimates suggesting that it accumulated around Rs 90 lakh nett domestically.

The current scenario is concerning for the filmmakers as it suggests that the movie is in the final phase of its theatrical exhibition. The total collection for the 14-day period now reaches Rs 281.98 crore in India. On June 30, the film's occupancy rate in India was recorded at 22.44 per cent.

About 'Adipurush'

Upon the release of its first teaser, 'Adipurush' received severe backlash. However, director Om Raut soon took the feedback into account and decided to delay the film by six months, assuring that the final product would be of high quality.

Unfortunately, all of his promises have fallen short, as the film is now regarded as mediocre at best. Due to controversy surrounding the portrayal of mythology and its representation in the film, there is a growing demand for the film to be banned by certain groups.

'Adipurush' was released as a 3D film in multiple languages and is the cinematic adaptation of Valmiki's 'Ramayana.’ The film showcases Prabhas portraying the character of Raghava, while Saif Ali Khan stars as Lankesh and Kriti Sanon portrays Janaki. Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage also contribute to the film by playing supporting characters.
