Legendary Bollywood actor Anupam Kher shared a heartwarming conversation with his cousin brother in Jammu after Pakistan launched drone and missile attacks there. Pakistan launched aerial attacks in several places, including Jammu civil airport, Samba, RS Pura, Arnia and military stations in the evening of May 8 (Thursday). The attacks took place after India successfully conducted Operation Sindoor at several terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Amid the critical situation in the country, Anupam Kher shared a video of his brother from Jammu and expressed solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces. 

Anupam Kher took to X and wrote, “My cousin brother Sunil Kher sent this video from his home in Jammu. I immediately called and asked if he and his family were okay. He laughed a little proudly and said, ‘Bhaiya! We are in India! We are Indians. Our protection is being taken care of by the Indian Army and Mata Vaishno Devi. You don’t worry. Anyway, we’re not letting a single missile touch the ground here.’ Jai Mata Di! Bharat Mata Ki Jai!” 

Earlier, in an interview with ANI, Anupam Kher praised Operation Sindoor and the government. He said, “Operation Sindoor is the proof that anyone who dares to threaten us will face a strong response. Those who try to spread terror or erase the dignity of our women will be met with force. This operation, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stands as that proof... What happened between 1 and 2 AM gave every Indian a renewed sense of security. We woke up knowing that our country is protected by a capable and courageous army…” 

“Even more inspiring was the briefing led by two women officers — Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh. Watching them filled me with pride. These women showed the enemy what India is capable of... I thank Prime Minister Modi on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians for his leadership. I’ve witnessed the wars of 1962, 1965, and 1971. I’ve seen our soldiers’ bravery up close — and I still feel the same pride... Let this also be a warning to those who try to twist the truth or speak negatively. This time, we showed the proof. And now, the people of India will not tolerate those who try to divide or mislead,” the actor added.
