Arshad Warsi recently opened up about pay disparity in Bollywood. He said that actors should not be paid so much that they are getting paid. Warsi further said that the pay scale is so high for a few actors that there is a line drawn between two actors. The Jolly LLB actor asserted that when an actor is paid such a high amount then others have to compensate. He even jokingly shared how much he has been paid.

In an interview with Unfiltered by Samdish, Arshad said “Mujhe lagta hai itna zyada jo mil raha hai, wo nahi milna chahiye, problem wo hai. Mujhe lagta hai ke kya ho gaya hai, the payscale itna uncha ho gaya hai ke it has put a line between A and B. (I feel actors should not be paid so much like they are getting paid, that is a problem. I think what has happened is the payscale is so high for a few actors that there is a line drawn between two actors).”

“Some actors are earning a lot of money. Unko compensate karne ke liye, jo baaki ke log hai wo bichare suffer kar rahe hai (Others are suffering while compensating for the other half’s big fees),” he added. When asked about how much he earns a year, Arshad jokingly said that earns at least Rs 25 to Rs 30 lakhs a year.

Arshad Warsi is known for his notable work in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, Dhamaal, Jolly LLB, Ishqiya, Tere Mere Sapne, Hero Hindustani, Durgamati and Asur to name a few.
