Atlee spoke about Varun Dhawan's Baby John facing fierce competition at the box office with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, which is having a record-breaking run globally. During a recent media appearance, the renowned filmmaker stated that he does not consider it as a direct clash.

For those who haven't seen Pushpa 2: The Rule yet, the movie starring Allu Arjun is breaking records in the Hindi belt every day. In just two weeks, the massy Telugu actioner brought in nearly Rs 600 crore nett in India and its earnings continue to soar. Atlee discussed the ecosystem and how he and his team intend to handle the situation when questioned about Baby John's release (on December 25) during the sequel of Pushpa's record-breaking run.

Atlee said, "See it is an eco-system. Me and Allu Arjun sir are very good friends. We are coming in (Pushpa's) the fourth week. Don't call it a clash. A clash is where we are head-on with the other film. You take my screen, I'll take yours (laughs). They also know that we're coming on Christmas, and we were also aware that they shifted from August to December. We are really good friends, and we know how to handle this. I want Pushpa 2 to do great, I want Baby John to do great."
