Baby John: Wamiqa Gabbi costarred in the action-thriller Baby John with Varun Dhawan. The Atlee-produced movie also starred Keerthy Suresh and Jackie Shroff in significant parts. Did you know she played a small part in Bollywood classic Jab We Met as a child? Wamiqa essayed the role of Kareena Kapoor aka Geet's cousin in the 2007 rom-com movie.

Wamiqa made her Bollywood film debut at the age of 14 with a small role in Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor's movie, Jab We Met. 

Wamiqa Gabbi eventually moved into leading parts and became well-known in the Punjabi industry. With movies like Ishq Brandy, Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22, and the wildly popular Nikka Zaildar series, she became a famed name in the industry.

Wamiqa Gabbi's Education And Family Background

Wamiqa Gabbi is from a Chandigarh-based Punjabi family. Under the pen name 'Gabbi,' her father, Govardhan Gabbi, is a well-known writer who works in Punjabi and Hindi.

She attended St. Xavier's School in Chandigarh for her early education before attending DAV College in Chandigarh to earn an arts degree. Her scholastic education and literary upbringing provided a solid basis for her artistic endeavours in the entertainment sector.

  1. 83: Wamiqa Gabbi played a minor but significant part in Kabir Khan's 2021 sports drama 83. Ranveer Singh plays Kapil Dev in the movie, which narrates the tale of India's historic triumph at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Sushmita, the wife of cricketer Mohinder Amarnath (played by Nishant Dahiya), was portrayed by Wamiqa.
  2. Khufiya: Wamiqa Gabbi was a key character in Vishal Bhardwaj's 2023 Netflix movie Khufiya. Wamiqa plays Hina in Khufiya, a pivotal role in the gripping and dramatic story.
  3. Mausam: Wamiqa Gabbi starred alongside Shahid and Sonam Kapoor in the 2011 Pankaj Kapur-directed movie Mausam. Wamiqa portrayed Sadiya, a character who is part of the movie's subplot, in a supporting role.
  4. Sixteen: Wamiqa Gabbi had an appearance in Raj Purohit's coming-of-age drama Sixteen (2013). She played a young girl in the film, one of several teenagers battling the difficulties of puberty, such as worries about relationships, love, peer pressure, and self-discovery.
