BLACKPINK Jennie has officially addressed rumours involving an impersonator claiming to be her father. Her agency, ODD ATELIER, has warned fans about the issue and confirmed that they are preparing to take legal action against defamation and slander. Recently, speculation surfaced about Jennie’s alleged father, identified as PD Kim Hyung Jin, supposedly releasing a novel based on her life. This sparked a wave of rumours, claiming that he was preparing to publish a new book. However, Jennie’s agency has made it clear that the Kpop idol has no connection to the author or any impersonator claiming to be her father.
In an official statement released on September 6, ODD ATELIER dismissed the false claims, clarifying, “Recently, illegal publications and fake news containing false information impersonating the artist's father have been continuously circulating. This is clearly false information and has nothing to do with the artist.” They also warned fans against purchasing any unauthorized publications and encouraged caution to avoid any damages.
