BLACKPINK Jennie recently showcased her upcoming solo single Mantra at MBC's Music Core, sending fans into a frenzy even before its official release. The special performance, which was pre-recorded on October 8, will air on October 19, giving fans who couldn’t attend a chance to witness the magic she brought to the stage. The song is scheduled to release on October 11 and BLINKs are already excited, praising her powerful performance and eagerly anticipating the full track and music video.

Fans who were present during the live recording have shared their thrilling experiences on social media, adding to the hype surrounding Jennie's new solo project. One fan excitedly tweeted, "JENNIE told K-fans that if you spoil the lyrics or post it online, she'll chase you to the end of the earth and hate you," reflecting Jennie's playful personality and her eagerness to keep Mantra under wraps until its official release.

Another BLINK shared, “According to K-rubies, Mantra has a hard choreography and is more difficult than You & Me’s! WE WON SO BAD.” The intensity of Jennie's new dance moves and her captivating stage presence have become hot topics among fans.

During the recording, Jennie was also spotted interacting with members of the girl group NewJeans. Fans noted that she was seen showing something to the group on her phone, which has further fueled excitement and speculation about potential future collaborations.

Jennie previously teased fans with a new concept image for Mantra on October 7, revealing her ethereal look in a white onesie and confirming the song’s release date. The artist has confirmed that she will be actively promoting the song on various South Korean music shows, starting with her performance at MBC’s Music Core.

Earlier this year, Jennie embarked on a new journey by establishing her own company, Odd Atelier, marking a new phase in her career as a solo artist. Although she parted ways with YG Entertainment for her solo ventures, she remains a committed member of BLACKPINK and will continue working closely with her previous company for the group’s activities. This move allows Jennie to have creative freedom while maintaining her ties with BLACKPINK, ensuring fans that they will still see her perform with Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé in the future.

Jennie made her debut as a Kpop idol in 2016 alongside her BLACKPINK bandmates. Over the years, the group has become a global sensation, establishing themselves as one of the top girl groups worldwide. Jennie was the first member to launch her solo career, releasing her hit single SOLO in 2018. She continued her success with the track You & Me in 2023, which she initially performed during BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK world tour.
