BTS Jungkook and Usher's collaboration on Standing Next To You was an iconic pairing between the rap legend and Kpop superstar. In an exciting turn of events, Usher reportedly invited Jungkook to join him for a performance at the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show. The two artists were set to collaborate on a remix of Usher's song Standing Next to You, which is featured on both of their recent albums.

However, Jungkook had to decline the invitation due to his military commitments. He enlisted for mandatory service in December 2023 alongside fellow BTS member Jimin, taking advantage of South Korea's companion system that allows soldiers to serve together. After completing five weeks of basic training, Jungkook began his role as a cook in the military and is expected to be discharged in June 2025.
