Indian 2/ Bharateyudu 2 (Netflix)

Shanmugam Shankar’s directorial revolves around an ex-freedom fighter who returned to the country to aid a young man who has been exposing corrupt politicians with his sensational videos on the internet. The movie stars Kamal Haasan, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh and Kajal Aggarwal in significant roles. As per a report by the website bollymoviereviewz, Indian 2 collected Rs 55 Crore worldwide on its opening day.

Raayan (Prime Video)

Dhanush’s directorial delves into the life of a young man whose life has been destroyed after his family was murdered. He then decides to take revenge which leads him unintentionally to the criminal underworld. The movie stars Dhanush himself in the lead. It also features Dushara Vijayan, Sundeep Kishan, Aparna Balamurali, Kalidas Jayaram and SJ Surya in prominent roles. As per a report by the website bollymoviereviewz, Raayan collected Rs 21.5 Crore worldwide on its opening day.  The movie will be released on Prime Video on 23rd August.

Arun Matheswaran’s directorial showcases a man’s fight against the British-led Indian military after witnessing their atrocity. The story shows that a barber seeks vengeance after his home has been destroyed. The man tells the Police that ‘lakshmi’ has been taken which keeps them in confusion about whether it is an object or a human. The movie stars Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Divya Bharathi, and Sachana Namidass in prominent roles.
