Kaun Banega Crorepati is gearing up for its seventeenth season. Amid excitement, fans are in a state of shock as reports have emerged online stating Amitabh Bachchan’s exit from the show. If the reports are to be believed, Bollywood star Salman Khan will be replacing Big B as the new host and fans are looking forward to the same. 

Salman Khan to host KBC 17?

Bollywood Hungama quoted a source saying, “Salman Khan is the king of the small screen and the best face to replace Amitabh Bachchan is him, as he also has a strong connection with the audience in the smaller centres. Shah Rukh Khan has also hosted KBC, and if everything goes well, Salman will be the newest to take the television sets by storm.”

"Get ready to tune into Sony as Salman Khan might host the biggest and most popular quiz show of India as Amitabh Bachchan will be stepping back from KBC due to personal reasons," the source added.

The promo of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17 was shared by Sony TV on April 4. The video featured Amitabh Bachchan as a patient suffering from stomach ache. Big B revealed that the registrations for KBC 17 were open and asked fans to register as soon as possible. For those interested to participate, they can register via the Sony LIV app, SMS or IVR calls.

KBC 17 Premiere Date

KBC 17 is expected to air in August 2025. The makers are yet to announce the show’s premiere date. Well, fans are awaiting to hear the official announcement regarding the host- if Amitabh Bachchan will exit the show and be replaced by Salman Khan.
