BTS' J-Hope Becomes Drill Instructor At Army Boot Camp: J-Hope, from the immensely popular K-pop boy group BTS, will reportedly be taking on the role of an assistant instructor at an Army boot camp during the remainder of his mandatory military service.
Insiders disclosed that the BTS member has recently been selected to serve in the recruit training centre of the 36th Infantry Division, located in Wonju, which is approximately 87 kilometres southeast of Seoul, Yonhap news agency reported.
In South Korea, it is mandatory for all physically fit men to fulfil a military service period of approximately two years. Since joining the boot camp on April 18, the 29-year-old artist has successfully completed five weeks of basic training at the same facility.
Another member of his band, Jin, is also fulfilling the role of an assistant instructor at an Army boot camp.
In December, Jin enlisted in the boot camp located at the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, which is situated approximately 60 km north of Seoul. He became the first member of BTS to commence his military service. Following the completion of five weeks of basic training, he was assigned the role of an instructor.
Coming back to J-Hope, an official from the military had stated on May 31st that the pop star has apparently been chosen as an assistant instructor at the recruit training centre of the 36th Infantry Division. The source mentioned that J-Hope will assume the position after successfully passing an evaluation of his educational qualifications.

In response to the report, BIGHIT MUSIC had commented, "Please understand that it is difficult to confirm."
The Korean band recently sent ARMY into a frenzy after they made an announcement regarding their highly anticipated 2023 FESTA celebrations and unveiled the release of their upcoming OT7 track titled "Take Two." This year's FESTA will commemorate the group's 10th anniversary, and on June 9, their new single "Take Two" will be available at 1 pm KST (9:30 am IST).
