BTS Jin aka Kim Seokjin is all set to join a new business venture. As per reports, the Kpop idol is making plans to enter the Korean traditional liquor business with Baek Jongwon, the founder and CEO of The Born Korea Co. The reports suggested that the duo made investments to establish the agricultural corporation Yesan Dog. They will release distilled spirit ‘IGIN’ later this month. It is a traditional liquor which will carry the unique characteristics of Baek’s hometown, Yesang Chungcheongnam-do. It will be also available in Ready to Drink (RTD) formats which will consist of fruits like Yesan apples, watermelons and plums. These variations will be named ‘IGIN Sweet Tonic’ and ‘IGIN Sour Tonic’.

Jin and Baek first founded the agricultural cooperation Jinny’s Lamp in 2022. The headquarters of the same is in Yesan. The name was given by BTS Jin to connect with his fans. Notably, Jinny’s lamp will produce ‘IGIN’ whereas Yesan Doga is a subsidiary of The Born Korea which has been established for alcohol distribution supervise its distribution. 

The BTS member’s interest in this business has been quite evident in an episode of the BTS YouTube channel BANGTANTV in 2022. The episode titled ‘Drunken Truth’ featured Jin, Baek Jongwon and master brewer Park Rok-dam who tasted the traditional Korean liquors. Earlier, Jin was seen gifting homemade alcohol to Jhope, celebrity chef Lee Yeonbok and actor Park Seoham. 

The news of the same went viral on social media. A user said, “Oh wow so proud of him.” A comment read, “so proud of you JIN.” Another tweet read, “IGIN WHERE SMILES BEGIN IGIN COMING SOON.” A netizen wrote, “I will finally taste jin.” Another user mentioned, “Add entrepreneur to the loooooonnnggg list now #JinTitan.” A tweet also read, “I'm still waiting on my free drink. Maybe this is how we get it for Muster or Festa..”
