BTS Jungkook, Jimin, RM and V Aka Kim Taehyung Military Service: In a significant update, BTS members - leader RM aka Kim Namjoon, Jimin, V aka Kim Taehyung, and Jungkook have started their military enlistment process. It marks a transition period for the group. The Kpop boy band's agency BigHit Music released a statement confirming this and mentioned that the artists are getting ready to fulfill their military service duties. They assured fans that more details would follow in due time.
BTS Jin, Jhope, and Suga aka Kim Yoongi are already serving in the military and the band is expected to reunite in 2025. All seven members have already released their solo albums and music this year and are now, moving on to the next stage of their lives.
BTS Military Service Statement:
With Jin, Jhope, and Suga having embarked on their military service, the remaining four BTS members are also moving forward with their enlistment. Confirming the same, BigHit Music wrote, "Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We would like to inform our fans that RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook have initiated the military enlistment process. The artists are preparing to fulfill their military service duties. We will inform you of further updates in the due course.
"We ask you for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook until they complete their military service and safely return. Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artists. Thank you," the statement added.
As soon as the statement dropped, the BTS Army became emotional.
Suga's Military Enlistment
BTS Suga commenced his military enlistment earlier this year. Ahead of his service, BigHit Music conveyed that there wouldn't be any official events marking his entry into service or during his training camp period. They urged fans to refrain from visiting Suga at his workplace during this time, asking instead for warm regards and encouragement to be conveyed in their hearts. "We kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting SUGA at his workplace during the period of his service. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only," BigHit Music said.
"Furthermore, please be mindful to avoid getting adversely affected by unauthorized tours or package products that illegally use the artist’s intellectual property. Our company will take appropriate measures against attempts at any commercial activity that make unauthorized use of artist IP. We ask for your continued love and support for SUGA until he completes his service and returns. Our company will also strive to provide all the support he needs during this time," the agency added.
With all BTS members set to enlist by the end of the year, the anticipation is high for their eventual reunion as a complete group by 2025. This period of individual military service marks a significant chapter in their careers, but the collective promise is to reconvene and continue their musical journey together.
