BTS Jungkook has once again showcased his talent as a solo artist by setting a remarkable new record. His captivating track 'Standing Next to You', from his solo album 'GOLDEN,' has secured an impressive position on the prestigious US Billboard Hot 100 chart, maintaining its place for an astounding 18 consecutive weeks.
The journey of 'Standing Next to You' on the Hot 100 began with a strong debut at number 5 on November 18, 2023. Since then, the song has not only sustained its presence but has also made history by surpassing the longevity of Jungkook's previous collaborations. This achievement surpasses his collaboration with American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth on 'Left and Right,' which enjoyed a commendable 17-week run. Additionally, his solo endeavor 'Seven feat. Latto' graced the chart for a respectable 15 weeks following its release in July of the preceding year.
K media report Jungkook’s “Standing Next to You” has reached 18 charting weeks on Billboard Hot 100, the longest charting song among his own as a soloist, the longest charting song by a K-pop soloist for the past decade, and the second longest charting song by a K-pop soloist… pic.twitter.com/goWG373dPP

What makes Jungkook's achievement even more notable is that 'Standing Next to You' now holds the record for the longest-running duration on the Hot 100 among Korean solo artists over the past decade. This echoes the global phenomenon sparked by Psy's unforgettable hit 'Gangnam Style', which reigned supreme for an astonishing 31 weeks.

This milestone marks the album's 18th consecutive week on the chart, establishing a groundbreaking record as the longest-running chart album by a Korean solo artist.
