MMA 2023 Nominations: K-pop group BTS is currently on a hiatus to move forward with their military service and focus on their solo projects. Despite their absence from the music industry as a group, BTS is ruling the music charts worldwide. The nominations for Melon Music Awards 2023 (MMA 2023) have been announced and BTS members have dominated the list along with several other K-pop idols. Along with BTS, BLACKPINK member Jisoo has also made it to the nomination list.

BTS' Jimin has been nominated in the Album of the Year category for his debut album 'Face'. Jungkook has gained nomination in the Best Solo Artist Male category for his solo singles '3D' and 'Seven' and his album 'Golden'. As a group, BTS has been nominated for Best Group and Kakao Bank Favorite Star.

Talking about BTS members' military service, Jin, Jhope and Suga are already serving in the military.  In a recent interview, HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk talked about the future of BTS and confirmed that the group will release their new album in 2025 and will conduct the 10th-year celebrations of 'HYYH: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life'. V, Jungkook, RM and Jimin will soon start their military enlistment.

On the work front, Jisoo has reportedly been approached to star in another show opposite 'Start-Up' actor Park Jung-Min. She will be seen in the show 'Influenza', which is based on a novel written by author Han Sang-woon. As per the latest reports, she has also been cast to play a leading role in the film adaptation of the popular webtoon 'Omniscient Reader' and will be seen alongside popular South Korean actors Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop.
