BTS Reunion: BTS RM or Kim Namjoon joined the military as an active duty member in December 2023 and is currently assigned to the 15th Infantry Division. He will wrap up his one year and six months of service and reunite with his boy band. The main rapper of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS showcased his excitement through a recent interaction on social media. 

BTS RM, also known as Kim Namjoon, shared a brief countdown update on social media, sending ARMYs into a tailspin. "Veteran, you have 50 days left until your (military) discharge! Have you planned your terminal leave/final vacation well?" read the text on his Instagram story.

BTS RM's Instagram story left the ARMYs excited. One of the users wrote, "At this point I'm expecting long long weverse lives of him talking about his military experience. Looking forward eagerly." Another user wrote, "He is counting just like us." The third user wrote, "As soon as Namjoon gets out, there will be fireworks to celebrate him."

BTS RM kept himself occupied following the 2022 hiatus, releasing everything from the poignant album Indigo, the last archive of RM's twenties, to the heartbreaking Right Place, Wrong Person, and everything in between.

About The BTS Reunion In 2025

Jimin and Jungkook joined the military as active duty officers on December 12, 2023, while RM and V enlisted on December 11, 2023.  On June 10, 2025, RM and V will be released from the military, while Jimin and Jungkook will be released on June 11 this year.  It is anticipated that Suga, the seventh member of BTS, who enlisted on September 22, 2023, will be released on June 21, 2025. J-Hope and Jin finished their terms on October 17 and June 10 last year, respectively.
