CID 2: The exit of fan-favourite character ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam, ever since the show debuted on television, has sparked outrage among netizens. The recent episode, which showed the senior officer being killed, stunned fans as the iconic character met a tragic end, leaving viewers heartbroken across the nation. Since its 1998 debut, ACP Pradyuman has been the soul of CID, one of the world’s longest-running crime television shows. Known for his intelligence, tracking skills and his iconic dialogue 'Daya, darwaza tod do,' he held a special place in the hearts of viewers. Netizens are not able to accept his sudden exit and are demanding his return to the show.

As soon as Sony TV announced ACP Pradyuman’s exit from CID, putting all speculations to rest, the channel's decision did not sit well with the viewers, who slammed them for it. A user wrote, "Sir, please don't leave CID. I watched Season 2's first episode and literally cried. My childhood series, CID."
Another user posted, "Even though I'm not watching CID 2, I can't see him dying. All my memories will be ruined."

One more post read, "Delete this post! If ACP Pradyuman Sir's character is exiting, then CID is finished. CID means ACP Pradyuman Sir, Daya, Abhijeet."
A tweet said, "@SonyTV, it was your responsibility to take care of our happiness, and you failed. I never expected this from you. I won’t watch CID anymore."
A heartbroken user said, "I won't watch #CID2 anymore."

Some users held hope for ACP Pradyuman's return to the show. One user posted, "ACP Sir will be back..." Another tweet read, "Bring back ACP." Another user said, "We want ACP Pradyuman back." A fan suggested that Daya or Abhijeet should take charge. A tweet read, "If they wanted someone to be ACP, they could've promoted Daya and Abhijeet, or one of them. This would've made so much sense. But no... TRP is already not that good for CID 2, and now with this new ACP, it’ll go down again. Man, we should get Singh Sir back."

Slamming the makers' decision, another user wrote, "The makers definitely want the audience to stop watching CID so they can end it. They brought CID back because of audience demand, and now the story doesn't feel like a long, interesting film; it feels more like a short story. This ACP decision is not at all acceptable, bro."

Parth Samthaan will replace Shivaji Satam and lead the team with Daya (played by Dayanand Shetty) and Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava) to solve new cases. The show first aired in 1998 on Sony TV and became a beloved show ever since.
