The iconic Indian crime thriller CID has made a grand return with its second season, and fans now have another platform to enjoy the show. Starring Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava in pivotal roles, the latest season of CID will be available to stream on Netflix apart from Sony LIV.
Starting Friday, February 21, Netflix will begin streaming 18 episodes of CID Season 2. Additionally, fresh episodes will drop every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM, beginning February 22. The show will continue to be available on Sony TV and Sony LIV, but Netflix subscribers can now enjoy the episodes on their preferred streaming platform as well.

Announcing the news on Thursday, Netflix India wrote, “CID, ab Netflix ke darwaze par bhi. Kal se dekhiye CID naye season ke saare released episodes Netflix par bhi! Saath hi naye episodes har Shanivaar aur Ravivaar raat 10 baje. #CIDonNetflix” (CID is now at Netflix’s door too! Watch the new season’s episodes on Netflix as well. New episodes every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM.)
One of the longest-running Indian television shows, CID first premiered in 1998 and enjoyed a successful 20-year run before concluding in 2018. The show gained a loyal fanbase over the years, and its gripping crime stories and memorable characters made it a household favourite.
After a six-year hiatus, CID returned for its second season on December 21, 2024, bringing back fan-favorite characters and new cases. The latest season features not just the beloved trio of Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman), Dayanand Shetty (Daya), and Aditya Srivastava (Abhijeet), but also actors like Narendra Gupta, Ansha Sayed and Ajay Nagrath in key roles.
