New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Adding another feather to her cap, actress Deepika Padukone on Monday received Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum, Davos for spreading awareness about the importance of mental health. She received the award on the Martin Lurther King and quoted the civil rights activist in her acceptance speech.
"For in the words of Martin Luther King, everything that is done in this world is done with hope," Deepika said.
The actress started voicing her opinion on the importance of mental health through her foundation The Live Love Laugh Foundation in June 2015. The problem helps the actor launch awareness and destigmatisation campaigns. The foundation raises awareness about mental adolescent mental heath disorders and oragnises research, lectures and training sessions that stars key personalities.

Speaking about her own experience, Deepika said that mental illness has presented us all with a very tough challenge, but it has taught her so much. The love-hate relationship taught her much.
"To be patient for one, that you are not alone, but most importantly that there is hope."
On the professional front, Deepika was last seen in Chhapaak that is based on the life of acid ttack survivor Laxmi. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the film also features Vikrant Massey.
