Dupahiya On OTT: Dupahiya is a delightful comedy-drama set in the fictional village of Dhadakpur. It is helmed by Sonam Nair and written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg. Bombay Film Cartel, under the leadership of Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani, Produced the show, which will premiere on Prime Video on March 7, 2025.
The story takes place in Dhadakpur, often referred to as the Belgium of Bihar, a village that has prided itself on 25 years of crime-free living. However, just seven days before a grand celebration, chaos erupts when a motorbike—intended as a wedding gift—goes missing as the characters scramble to recover the lost Dupahiya (bike), their dreams, ambitions, and emotions intertwine in an amusing yet heartfelt journey.
Veteran actor Gajraj Rao plays Banwari Jha, a math teacher and father of the bride, who puts aside logic in his pursuit of his daughter’s happiness. Expressing his excitement for the role, Rao shared how the series beautifully blends comedy and emotions while capturing the charm of small-town life.

Renuka Shahane, known for her versatility, takes on the role of Pushplata, the village sarpanch. She described the character as endearing yet headstrong, a stark contrast to her previous roles. Shahane revealed that working on Dupahiya was an enriching experience, and she hopes viewers enjoy the humour and warmth embedded in the show.
Shivani Raghuvanshi as Roshni Jha: Playing the bride, Raghuvanshi brings to life a strong yet naïve character who speaks her mind. She expressed her excitement about returning to Prime Video after Made in Heaven and exploring a different kind of wedding drama.
Sparsh Shrivastava as Bhugol: The aspiring influencer of Dhadakpur, Bhugol is quirky, stylish, and full of dreams. Shrivastava shared that Dupahiya is his first comedy-drama series, making the experience even more special. Bhuvan Arora as Amavas: Arora’s character relies more on expressions than words, making him a unique addition to the ensemble. He described Dupahiya as a project filled with laughter, heart and love, created by a talented team.
