Emraan Hashmi is all set to enthrall the audience with his new avatar in the upcoming action thriller Ground Zero, where he will portray the role of BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dubey. After dropping the first glimpse of his character, the makers have now surprised viewers by unveiling the gripping teaser of the film. The Emraan Hashmi starrer, inspired by real-life events, is set against the backdrop of Kashmir.

The makers of Emraan Hashmi starrer Ground Zero took to Instagram and treated viewers to a thrilling and heart-wrenching teaser video of the film. The clip opens with a terrorist attack on Jammu and Kashmir, where someone from the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed gives a warning about the freedom of Kashmir in 2001. Emraan Hashmi as BSF Deputy Commandant Narendra Nath Dubey, leads the mission into a national security crisis to gun down the enemies. He embarks on a mission to restore peace to the valley by navigating challenges and fighting terrorists. The clip shows an attack on Indian soldiers, revealing that "70 soldiers were gunned down." After watching the teaser, netizens shared their responses in the comments section. One user wrote, "What a powerful teaser this man can do anything, any kind of role." Directed by Tejas Deoskar, Ground Zero is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, with co-producers Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C. Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Talisman Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy. The action thriller is inspired by the Border Security Force's (BSF) best operation in 50 years. Emraan Hashmi will portray the BSF Deputy Commandant who led a two-year-long investigation into a high-stakes national security threat. The film will explore themes like courage, sacrifice, and the unseen struggles of those who fought for the nation. The rest of the cast and further details have been kept under wraps by the makers. The film is set to release in theatres on April 25, 2025.

In addition to Ground Zero, Emraan is all set to star in the highly anticipated sequel Awarapan 2, which is slated to release in theatres on April 3, 2026.
