The buzz surrounding Disha Patani's involvement in Prabhas' highly anticipated movie Fauji has officially been put to rest by the makers. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film stars Imanvi Esmail as the female lead, marking her Telugu debut. Disha, who worked with Prabhas in Kalki 2898 AD, was reportedly roped in as the second female lead. However, the film's production team has denied these rumours, calling them fake.
Disha Patani Not Part of Prabhas' Fauji
A production head from the team clarified in a statement quoted by Money Control about the rumours surrounding Disha Patani's casting. The statement read, “It is all a rumour, and we have not approached Disha Patani. Casting for the female lead is done, and the news about having a second leading lady is fake."
At a recent press meet, producer Ravi Yerneni shared details about the movie. He said, “The film is progressing at a brisk pace and has come out very well. It is a period drama film that has some beautiful elements of love and romance. We are sure it is going to be a blockbuster hit.”

The film, tentatively titled Fauji, is being helmed by Sita Ramam filmmaker Hanu Raghavapudi. Prabhas will appear in a never-seen-before avatar in the period historical drama. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Jaya Prada, and Mithun Chakraborty. Fauji will reportedly focus on a soldier’s journey through war and personal relationships, blending themes of bravery, love, and sacrifice. Prabhas fans are eagerly awaiting further developments about the movie.
Meanwhile, Disha Patani was last seen in Tamil action filmKanguva, starring Suriya and Bobby Deol. Directed by Siva, the was release in 2024. She received praise for her performance. The actress is also gearing up for the multi-starrer movie Welcome to the Jungle with Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, and others.
