An FIR has been filed against Shreyas Talpade, Alok Nath and five members of a Credit Cooperative Society at the Gomti Nagar Police Station in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The seven accused allegedly defrauded 45 investors out of Rs 9.12 crores, according to the FIR, reports ANI. 

For the previous six years, this society collected money from people, but its directors fled when the people demanded their money back. Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath reportedly advocated the society's investment schemes, and actor Sonu Sood was the main guest at one of its events, according to several media reports.

For those who are unaware, the same multi-level marketing scam case also involved the Bollywood actors and eleven other people who were booked in Sonipat, Haryana. The lawsuit concerns a cooperative society that abruptly disappeared after amassing crores of rupees from thousands of members.

The FIR alleges that on September 16, 2016, the Human Welfare Credit Cooperative Society began operations in many states, including Haryana and Lucknow. This organization operated under the Multi-State Cooperative Society Act and was registered in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The organization enticed investors with excellent interest rates and provided them with opportunities to invest in recurrent deposit (RD) and fixed deposit (FD) plans.

Meanwhile, Shreyas Talpade most recently starred in Kangana Ranaut's political drama Emergency, which also starred Vishak Nair, Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, and the late Satish Kaushik.

Furthermore, he told us that he would be appearing in A Harsha's and Sajid Nadiawala's Baaghi 4.
