Amid the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, Sanam Teri Kasam actor Harshvardhan Rane has declined to be a part of the movie’s sequel if the producers will go with the same cast. This came after Mawra Hocane, the lead Pakistani actress in Sanam Teri Kasam, condemned India’s attack on Pakistan. She wrote on Instagram, “Strongly condemn India’s cowardly attack on Pakistan. Innocent civilians have lost their lives.”

Rane also took to his Instagram handle and bashed Hocane over her remarks for India. He wrote, “While I am grateful for the experience however as things stand, and after reading the direct comments made about my country, I have made a decision to respectfully decline to be a part of 'Sanam Teri Kasam' part 2 if there is any possibility of the previous cast being repeated.”

“I respect all artists and humans of this country, that country, Kenya and even Mars, but this kind of derogatory remark about my country by anyone is unpardonable. Am okay with losing out on followers on Instagram, but won’t allow anyone to walk over the pride and upbringing. Standing by your country is good, but disrespectful, hate remarks about other countries are not,” Rane wrote in another story.

Pakistan has been launching drone and missile attacks on civilian areas in northern India for the last three nights. However, all of them have been intercepted by the Indian air defence network. Amid the whole tension between India and Pakistan, India has given a stern warning to Pak, stating, “Any future act of terror by Pakistan will be considered an act of war, and India will respond accordingly,” said a source, according to NDTV.

The whole tension started after Pakistan-linked terrorists killed 26 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam which prompted India to announce new rules of engagement against terror with cross-border linkages. In response, India launched precision cruise missile strikes at terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoJK.

Pakistan responded by attacking civilian areas in India with drones. Going by the current situation, tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated, with both countries engaging in military actions against each other.
