I Want To Talk centers on Arjun Sen (played by Abhishek Bachchan), a talented marketer who chooses to give life a try. He is presented as a man who prioritizes business over all other considerations. He is skilled at "manipulation," a term he despises but that becomes a part of who he is. He can persuade himself that he is not truly an absentee father or he can use the cheese pull to get the masses to buy a pizza. But everything changes in him when he has an unexpected medical issue that gives his life a timeline of less than 100 days.

Shoojit Sircar, who is renowned for iconic films like Piku, Vicky Donor, and Madras Cafe, collaborated with Abhishek Bachchan for the first time on I Want to Talk. The poignant drama, which was produced by Rising Sun Films and Kino Works, also stars Johnny Lever, Banita Sandhu, Jayant Kriplani, and Ahilya Bamroo in important parts.
