India’s Got Latent Controversy: Ranveer Allahbadia’s Mumbai Residence Found Locked Amid Police Probe, Podcaster’s Phone Unreachable

Amid India’s Got Latent controversy, Mumbai and Guwahati Police visited Ranveer Allahbadia’s Versova residence for questioning on February 14. But they found his house locked. As per reports, a police official informed that Mumbai police went there for questioning on the case. Notably, Allahbadia also known as BeerBiceps was supposed to attend a court hearing on February 13 and record his statement in Mumbai’s Khar station. But he did not show up rather requested to continue the procedure at his home. The request was rejected and the the YouTuber didn’t show up. This led to stricter action taken by the authorities. 

According to reports, the authorities then visited his residence which was found locked. Not only that, Ranveer Allahbadia’s phone was unreachable. Both the Mumbai and Guwahati police teams returned to the Khar station. The complaint was filed against Allahbadia on February 10 after his recent remarks on India’s Got Latent received backlash. 

In the deleted video from the official channel, Ranveer was seen asking a contestant “Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?” 

After this, Ranveer also shared an apology video on Instagram in which he said “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate. It wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I’m gonna use my platform, and obviously, this is not how I’m gonna use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning for whatever happened, I am just here to offer an apology.”
