Janhvi Kapoor has been discharged from the hospital following a severe bout of food poisoning earlier this week. The actress, who was admitted to a Mumbai hospital, is now back at home and reportedly recovering well.
Kapoor's father, Boney Kapoor, confirmed her discharge to Zoom, stating, "She was discharged this morning. She is much better now." The actress had been under the care of her father, sister Khushi Kapoor and rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya during her hospital stay. Earlier in the week, Kapoor returned to Mumbai from Chennai but fell ill soon after, leading to her hospitalization. She experienced significant weakness but is now on the mend.
Despite this setback, Kapoor is set to resume work on the promotion of her upcoming film, Ulajh. In this highly anticipated project, she plays Suhana Bhatia, a young diplomat caught in a complex web of international intrigue. The film, directed by Sudhanshu Saria and co-starring Adil Hussain, Meiyang Chang, Rajendra Gupta, and Jitendra Joshi, is scheduled for release on August 2.

Kapoor had been actively involved in promotional activities for Ulajh before her illness, balancing her professional commitments with recent personal engagements, including attending the wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Fans are eagerly awaiting her return to the spotlight and the release of Ulajh, which promises a gripping narrative set against a backdrop of high-stakes diplomacy.
