Mr. and Mrs. Mahi met Heeramandi in a delightful crossover, thanks to Janhvi Kapoor’s recent Instagram post. The actress shared a humorous video featuring her co-star Rajkummar Rao recreating Aditi Rao Hydari's iconic ‘Gajagamini walk’ from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.

Aditi Rao Hydari's graceful 'Gajagamini walk' has become a sensation on social media. Fans worldwide are imitating the elegant step, and Aditi herself joined in on the fun during her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. However, the latest celebrity to tackle the walk, with a humorous twist, is Rajkummar Rao.

On Wednesday, Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram to share a light-hearted video from the sets of their upcoming film Mr and Mrs Mahi. In the clip, Janhvi is seen preparing to bat with her cricket pads on, while Rajkummar mimics her walk with the pads. As he walks back to his bowling crease, he performs an exaggerated and awkward version of Aditi's viral walk, much to the amusement of Janhvi and their fans.

Janhvi added the Heeramandi song “Saiyyan Hatto Jaao” to the video, captioning it, “Our very own gajagamini walk. took a minute to get used to all those cricket pads but glad I could amuse u Mr. Mahi (slurrp emoji).” Dharma Productions, which is backing Mr and Mrs Mahi, commented, “That's the way #TheMahiWay! (laughing with tears emojis).” Social media influencer and Janhvi's close friend Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, also chimed in, saying, “@rajkummar_rao >>>”

Even Rajkummar's Badhaai Do co-star Gulshan Devaiah joined the fun, commenting, “Get him to wear leg guards and walk… let’s see kya chaal chalta hai woh (how he walks).”

Mr and Mrs Mahi, directed by Sharan Sharma, marks his second collaboration with Janhvi Kapoor after Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. This film also brings Janhvi and Rajkummar together for the second time, following their previous film, Roohi. The movie is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and is set to hit theatres on May 31.

Janhvi Kapoor has a busy schedule ahead, with upcoming projects including Ulajh, Devara: Part 1, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and a film with Suriya. Rajkummar Rao, on the other hand, will be seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and Stree 2 with his latest release being Srikanth.
