Jung Hae In has built a reputation for his impressive acting abilities and his commitment to embodying the roles he takes on. His projects, from D.P. to Love Next Door, showcase his range and passion for acting. Yet, few roles pushed his boundaries as much as Snowdrop, where he starred alongside BLACKPINK's Jisoo.
In 2022, Jung Hae In revealed that he went to great lengths to prepare for his character in Snowdrop. Playing Im Suho, a North Korean spy on a mission in South Korea, demanded more than just learning lines and hitting the gym. The actor shared that he slept for only two hours a day, using the rest of his time to train and prepare for the role. “If I had four hours to rest, I would divide it in half. I’d sleep for two hours and then work out for the remaining two before heading to the set,” he said, describing his intense commitment.

Beyond sacrificing sleep, Jung Hae In also focused on physical and mental preparation. He got a tan to look more like his character, learned regional dialects, and brushed up on his martial arts skills to add more authenticity to his performance. His hard work paid off as his portrayal of Suho earned him both critical and popular acclaim. His meticulous approach and dedication to even the smallest details brought his character to life, making it one of his standout performances.
Snowdrop, which premiered in late 2021, received high viewership and was praised for its emotional narrative. It also marked the acting debut of BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, who played the role of Eun Young-ro. The chemistry between Jung Hae In and Jisoo made headlines and even sparked dating rumours. While the show was set against the tense backdrop of political conflicts between North and South Korea, the love story between their characters added an emotional depth that captivated the audience.
Following his success in Snowdrop, Jung Hae In continued to impress with his role in Love Next Door. The tvN drama, where he stars opposite Jung So Min, is a light-hearted romantic comedy.
