BTS Jimin may be serving in the military, but his influence and enduring popularity remain as strong as ever. The talented artist, who released his second studio album MUSE in June this year with the hit lead single Who, enlisted in the military alongside fellow BTS member Jungkook in December 2023 through a special lottery or buddy system.
Recently, Ni-ki, the youngest member of the boy group ENHYPEN, expressed his admiration for Jimin during an interview with Billboard. Recalling his early career days, Ni-ki mentioned that he had filmed a dance cover of Jimin’s Lie shortly after his debut. When asked about his experience creating a TikTok dance cover with Jimin, Ni-ki shared, "I did a cover of Jimin’s ‘Lie’ not long after our debut. It was such an honour to film a TikTok with Jimin in person. I have a lot of respect for him as an artist."

Jimin's influence has only grown over time. His first studio album FACE, released in March 2023, received a phenomenal response from ARMYs worldwide. The album, which includes the singles Set Me Free Pt. 2 and the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper Like Crazy, delves into themes of loneliness, self-reflection and finding freedom. FACE was heavily influenced by the emotional impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Jimin, both as an individual and a performer. His second album MUSE, released in June this year, further cemented his position as a global solo artist.

ENHYPEN, a seven-member boyband under Belift Lab, part of the HYBE Labels family, debuted in November 2020 and has since gained a massive international fanbase. The group continues to showcase their admiration for their BTS seniors, often crediting them as inspirations and mentors in their career journey.
Meanwhile, other BTS members have been busy with military service and solo activities. RM and V enlisted alongside Jimin and Jungkook in December last year, while Suga began his service in September 2023. With Jin already discharged in June 2024 and Jhope's discharge just nine days away, the highly anticipated BTS reunion is set for 2025. Despite their time apart, the group has continued to engage with fans through solo releases, documentaries and shows like Are You Sure.
