Kajol and filmmaker Prabhu Deva are all set to reunite on screen after 27 years. The duo, last seen together in the 1997 Tamil film Minsara Kanavu, will collaborate for a high-budget action thriller. This project also marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu filmmaker Charan Tej Uppalapati, who is helming the film.
Details about the film are being kept under wraps, adding to the anticipation surrounding this reunion. The movie will also feature veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, along with Samyuktha Menon, Jisshu Sen Gupta and Aditya Seal in pivotal roles. Interestingly, this will be the first time Kajol shares the screen with Naseeruddin Shah, adding another layer of excitement for fans.
The film's first schedule has already been completed, and the team is gearing up to release the teaser soon. To ensure a top-notch cinematic experience, the makers have brought onboard renowned cinematographer GK Vishnu and editor Navin Nooli. The screenplay is penned by Niranjan Iyengar and Jessica Khurana, while Saahi Suresh will oversee the visual aesthetics as the production designer.
Harshavardhan Rameshwar, known for his work in Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor, will compose the film's musical tracks. With his previous success in creating music that resonated with audiences, expectations are high for this upcoming project.

The last time Kajol and Prabhu Deva collaborated, it resulted in the hit film Minsara Kanavu, which was later dubbed in Hindi as Sapnay. The film was well-received and featured the popular song Chanda Re. Kajol, who was last seen in an episode of Lust Stories 2, has several projects in the pipeline, including Do Patti with Kriti Sanon, Sarzameen with Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran and a horror film titled Maa.
On the other hand, Prabhu Deva is currently working on The Greatest of All Time, featuring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, slated for a September release.
