New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Kajol is all set to feature her first biopic film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior opposite real life husband Ajay Devgn, who will play the title role in the movie. Her first poster was shared by Ajay on Twitter on Monday. Introducing her role in the movie, Ajay wrote, “Savitribai Malusare -Tanhaji ke saahas ka sahara... aur unke bal ki shakti (Savitribai Malusare - The support of Tanhaji’s courage - the power of his strength.)” The actress looked excellent as a Marathi woman wearing a simple red saree with mangalsutra, a bindi on her forehead and a nose ring. 
Taking to Twitter a user wrote, " Shandar and classic look. Still looking like fresher. "Making me emotional just to see this....Loved this look!" wrote another. The trailer of the period drama is all set to be released on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the makers had released a promo video on Sunday with the tagline 'Risto Ka farz...Ya Mitti ka Karz?' 

 

Earlier, Ajay had shared the first poster of him and Saif. Ajay donned a turban in his forehead and had a sword in his hand with vermilion on his forehead. Saif Ali Khan, who will be seen playing the role of an antagonist looked fierce with a sword in his hands. 
 
 
The film marks the reunion of Ajay Devgn and Kajol after nine years. The duo had last featured in Toonpur ka Superhero in 2010. Besides the trio (including Saif), Tanhaji also stars Pankaj Tripathi in a pivotal role. Set in the seventeenth century, the Om Raut's directorial is based on the life of Tanhaji Malusare-- an unsung warrior in Indian history and leader of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's army. He was also a founder of the Maratha empire. 
 
Tanhaji marks the 100th film of Ajay Devgn who will be playing the role of Subhedar Tanaji Malusare. Tanhaji is scheduled to be released on January 10, 2020.
