Kiara Advani Auditioned For Laal Singh Chaddha: Kiara Advani recently revealed that she had auditioned for 'Laal Singh Chaddha' but unfortunately, did not get the part. The actress, who was recently seen in 'Satyaprem Ki Katha,' divulged that she had tried out for what seemed to be Kareena Kapoor's role, Rupa D'Souza, in the Aamir Khan film, several years ago. Reflecting on the audition, Kiara felt that she might not have performed well, and hopes to never come across the audition reel again.
During a conversation with Film Companion, the actress shared an interesting anecdote when asked if she would consider auditioning for roles in the future, similar to Kareena's experience with 'Laal Singh Chaddha.' Kiara revealed, "Yes, absolutely. In fact, I also auditioned for 'Laal Singh Chaddha.' At that time, I didn't know it was for 'Laal Singh Chaddha.' I really don't want to see that audition though. I must have been terrible. It was many, many years ago."

For the unversed, Aamir Khan had confirmed last year that Kareena Kapoor wasn't the first choice for 'Laal Singh Chaddha.' During his appearance on 'Koffee With Karan 7', Aamir shared, "(The casting director) showed us her video. Kareena was in that ad too. We were looking at the video for someone else. Advait (Chandan) and I were watching the video," he said. When Karan inquired about the 'newbie' in the video, Aamir dismissed its significance but admitted, "That girl also was very good. No doubt about it. But when we saw Kareena in that, we were lost in Kareena."
During an interview with Prabhat Khabar, Kareena had candidly discussed the audition process for 'Laal Singh Chaddha.' She mentioned, "I had to even give an audition for 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. It was so that I could prove I am apt for the role, and I am perfect for the older part."
Released in August of the previous year, 'Laal Singh Chaddha' faced a lukewarm response at the box office due to the 'Boycott Bollywood' movement. However, the film received the recognition it deserved upon its release on OTT platforms, with many praising the performances and the outstanding adaptation of 'Forrest Gump'.
