Shalini Passi has been making headlines since she made her on-screen debut with Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. Recently, the star shared how she met her businessman husband Sanjay Passi. She revealed that it was an arranged marriage and she met her inlaws at a wedding which they gatecrashed. Shalini also explained her criteria for her perfect match on the same occasion to her inlaws. While recalling the incident, she further expressed her love for her husband and called him her ‘universe’.
In an interview with Brut India, Shalini said “I was at my friend's sister's wedding when these couple of girls approached me saying, ‘Are you married?’ ‘Are your parents coming to the mehendi ceremony?’ I said, ‘No, my parents will come in the evening.’ So they went back and told their mom that we found the perfect girl for Sanjay bhaiya. Then in the evening my husband's family came to meet us. It was an arranged marriage but… my husband is my universe.”
“They came to the wedding. They gatecrashed my friend's wedding to come and see me. I had told them that I wanted someone who does not drink, smoke, or gamble because I don't do the same. I want somebody who is on the same wavelength. It was really wonderful to be with Sanjay, to meet him and his family. They are just amazing people,” she further added.
The duo tied knot in the late 90s and are proud parents of a son named Robin Passi. Shalini Passi is the new entrant to the third season of The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives which also features onscreen debutants Riddhima Kapoor Sahni (Ranbir Kapoor’s elder sister), and Kalyani Saha. The show also stars Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Bhavana Pandey, and Seema Sajdeh. It is currently streaming on Netflix.
