Lahore 1947: Sunny Deol's highly anticipated film is set to feature a pivotal train sequence that captures the emotional journey between India and Pakistan. Produced by Aamir Khan’s production house and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, this sequence is expected to be a major highlight of the film, with extensive filming planned over several weeks. Following the success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol is making a strong comeback, joining forces with his long-time friend Rajkumar Santoshi for this period drama.
Now, sources close to the film have revealed that Lahore 1947 will culminate with an unprecedented train sequence set during the Partition era. The sequence involving a sizable cast and crew, and aims to deliver a unique and immersive experience for audiences, showcasing the chaotic and poignant aspects of the era in an entirely new way. According a Etimes report, "The shooting of Lahore 1947 will conclude with the most ambitious train sequence of the Partition era, featuring an extensive scene unlike anything seen before. The film's climax promises to be a visual spectacle, meticulously crafted to capture the chaotic and emotional essence of the partition era. This sequence will be filmed over several weeks with a large cast and crew, aiming to offer a fresh experience to the audience."
The film, which also stars Preity Zinta, is based on Asghar Wajahat’s acclaimed play, Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya, O Jamyai Ni. With production currently in full swing, Lahore 1947 promises to deliver a visually stunning and emotionally powerful experience. Lahore 1947 also stars Sunny's elder son, Karan Deol, who will play a character called Javed in the film.
About the same, actor-producer Aamir Khan shared, "I am so happy that Karan Deol has tested so well for the extremely critical role of Javed. His natural innocence, his sincerity, and his honesty bring a lot to the table. Karan has really applied himself, worked hard, done workshops with Adishakti (a theatre group in Mumbai), rehearsals with Raj (director Rajkumar Santoshi), and is giving it his all. Javed is a great part, a very challenging part, and I am sure that with Raj Santoshi to direct him, Karan will nail it."
