In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Huma Qureshi said, “As an industry, it is time now that we look inside ourselves and think about how we can tell our stories differently. The actress asked what the audience expects from us or what they are ready for. I am mixing streaming projects, big films and indie films. This is what I like to do, putting my bets everywhere.”

She went on to state, “I can clearly define my career before and after Maharani. It was the show where people stood up and praised my ability. Its success made people imagine me in roles they could not do before. And now, season 4 of ‘Maharani’ is also coming.”
Maharani is a gripping Hindi-language political drama series that premiered on SonyLIV in 2021. Created by Subhash Kapoor, the show explores the intricate world of Bihar politics, drawing inspiration from real-life events in the 1990s, including Lalu Prasad Yadav's appointment of his wife Rabri Devi as his successor.
