Rasika Dugal, who has been gearing up for Mirzapur Season 3, recently shared that she got a lot of fame after appearing in the web series. She also shared her struggling journey when she was cast in five films but it didn't work out. The actress said that the makers of the projects thought that she was not sellable enough so she was replaced. Rasika shared her disappointment about the same and said that the incident affected her a lot.
In an interview with The Quint, Rasika said “I had begun to feel disappointed with the kind of reach independent films have and I feel Mirzapur gave me access to a broader audience.”
She also recalled, “Between 2012 -2015 I was almost cast in five films. We had begun conversations, but at some stage all of them did not work out because the producers felt I was not sellable enough. I was very affected.”
Earlier, the actress hinted that there are chances of a fourth season of Mirzapur. The season 3 of Mirzapur also features Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi, Harshita Gaur, Priyanshu Painyulli, Rajesh Tailang, Isha Talwar, Anjum Sharma, and Sheeba Chadha in significant roles. Actor Divyendu Sharma Munna Tripathi is no longer part of the third instalment of the web series. Ali Fazal confirmed that Jeetendra Kumar also known as Sachiv Ji from Panchayat made a special appearance in Mirzapur 3. The show is currently streaming on the popular OTT platform Prime Video. The magnum opus has been directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer.
Apart from Mirzapur, Rasika is also known for her work in Out of Love, Delhi Crime, Lootcase, Manto, Adhura, Fairy Folk, Qissa, Humorously Yours, A Suitable Boy, Hamid, Chutney, The Broken Table and The School Bag to name a few.
