Bastar: The Naxal Story hit the theatres on March 15, 2024. Netizens initially believed that ‘The Kerala Story’ handled the issue of ISIS in a manner similar to how ‘Bastar: The Naxal Story’ would address Naxalism. However, following the release of the film starring Adah Sharma, audience reactions have been overwhelmingly negative. The disappointment and dissatisfaction with the movie have reached such heights that numerous cinema-goers are advocating for its ban.

People trending the ban on the film #BanBastarMovie
How does a ban solve the problem, if they don't want to see they can see #Yodha, but no one forcing them to see Bastar, also most see piracy online pic.twitter.com/d5AlP96qaU

Bastar movie not only exposed Naxalism but Urban naxals too.

According to a review by Jagran English, "'Bastar: The Naxal Story' is a must-watch movie based on real-life events. Through narratives like ‘Bastar’ we are beckoned to delve beyond the surface, to confront the realities that evade easy conversation, and to seek a deeper understanding of the forces that shape our world. Movies of this caliber should not be overlooked, but if you're not inclined towards violent content, then this particular film may not suit your preferences.”
