800 OTT Release Date: The highly acclaimed biopic, portraying the life of Sri Lankan cricket icon Muttiah Muralitharan, is making its way to the digital platform after its successful theatrical release on October 6, 2023. Oscar-winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire' actor Madhurr Mittal portrayed the role of the legendary Sri Lankan spinner in his biopic. Jio Cinema revealed that '800' will have its premiere on December 2, 2023, in various languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Bengali.
The film depicts the remarkable story of Sri Lankan greatest wicket-takers Muttiah Muralitharan. It portrays his journey from being an oppressed Tamil, who later became an iconic figure in cricket.
