Sushant Singh is well-known for his roles in Satya, Jungle, Josh, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, and the Rakhta Charitra series, but it was the hit crime series Savdhaan India that made him a household name. The actor discussed his time as the host of the show, which dramatised actual crime cases in India while showcasing the victims' fight for justice and increasing awareness, in an exclusive interview with The Daily Jagran.

Sushant Singh, whose most recent project is the MX Player serial Bindiya Ke Bahubali, remarked, "Woh jo anchoring, hosting ka phase tha, I've let it go, but that is part and parcel of the game."

Sushant Singh Says Things Are Changing In Industry

Sushant Singh said, 'it's basic human nature' when asked if the industry gives more importance to screentime rather than the depth of a role. "Impactful jo hota hai, usse zyada register, kayi baar zyadatar, wohi cheezein hoti hain, jo lambe samay tak dekhti hain. You know, iska bada role tha, aur iska lamba role tha, ye main hero hai. But, dheere dheere, logon ka taste aur nazariya, change ho raha hai."

Sushant Singh used Zeeshan Ayyub's appearance in Tere Ishk Mein as a compelling example of how small roles are becoming more popular these days. His performance resonated with viewers and gained widespread attention in spite of his limited on-screen time.

Bindiya Ki Bahubali actor added, "Wo film toh maine dekhi nahi hai, Tere Ishq mein, abhi aayi thi. Toh usmein, Zeeshan ka jo hai, that became so popular, jabki uski choti si entry thi. But, wo dialogues uske itne popular hue, aur itne impactful the, ki logon ne notice kiya. Aur us film par jo memes bani, reels bani, zyadatar, Zeeshan ko lekar hi bani. So, I think, people are changing. Tastes are changing."

Sushant Singh On Getting His Dues

Every industry has its own set of rules and ways of playing the game, but actor Sushant Singh thinks that everyone gets their due. The actor said he feels privileged to continue working in the field and being given good roles. He feels he has already received more than he deserves in the film industry.

"Main ismein bilkul believe nahi karta ho ki aapko aapka due nahi mila. Har game ke apne rules hote hain. Use khelne ka tariqa hota hai," Sushant Singh said.

"Go and meet producers, directors, because they are the work givers, they are the work generators. Aapko unke paas jana hoga, main nahi jata, kisi ke paas bhi. Woh aadat nahi hai, achi aadat nahi hai, buri aadat hai. Naye log, aisa na seekhe. Meri kismat theek tha ke, jo ab tak chal raha ho, don't do that. So, even after that, I am still here, and getting some very good roles and offers, I get surprised. How am I still there? So, I think I have got more than my due," the actor shared.
